Fusion Art Announces the Winners of the 4th Annual Waterscapes Art Exhibition

Palm Springs, CA, USA – August 12, 2019 – Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 4th Annual Waterscapes International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Photography & Digital Art and 3-Dimensional Art.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists were invited to share their best art and photography depicting waterscapes. The theme included any art, which depicted any type of body of water including the ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, coastal living, any ocean activities, seaside vistas, beaches, and any related seashore or lakeside subjects. It also included rain, puddles and frozen waterscapes. All artists, over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best work for consideration.

The 4th Annual Waterscapes Best in Show winners are Lori Mills for her oil painting, “Malibu Coastline”, William Nourse for his photograph, “The Gloaming” and Amelia Johannsen for her sculpture, “The Wave”. Lori, William and Amelia are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of August 2019 and, as the Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s 4th Annual Group Show in Palm Springs in 2020.

Other award winners include Second Place winners, Jackson Lee for his acrylic on artboard, “Solid Foundation”, Rochelle Berman for her digital photograph, “Fisherboy” and Jacki Cohen for her sculpture, “Spirit”. Third Place awards were given to Diane Larson for her oil on canvas, “Carry On”, Elena Chukhlebova for her photography and digital, “Between Ocean and Sky” and Shenan Howard for her ceramic sculpture, “From Which We Came From: 3”. Fourth Place awards were given to Susan Allen for her oil on canvas, “Lowcountry Formal” and Petra Bernstein for her photograph, “My Heaven on Earth”. Fifth Place awards were given to Linda Steele for her acrylic painting, “Sweet Divide” and Laurence Levine for his digital photograph, “Low Tide”.

Rounding out the awards for the exhibition are ten Honorable Mention winners. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category were given to Telagio Baptista, Rasa Valiene, Monika Harmund Csanyi, Alejandra Gos and Reenie McMains. Honorable Mention awards in the Photography & Digital category were given to Shelley Benjamin, Glenn R. Strachan, Paul M Murray, Paul Collins and Marcia Berg Haskell.

The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.

The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Poland and the Netherlands. Overall, the gallery judged 422 entries for the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for the month of August 2019.
